The local 2141 regrets to inform the membership of the passing of  Charlie Couture.  Charlie retired from Alexandria as the communication coordinator.  He was a long serving secretary treasurer of the Local.

AFD adds foam trailer to apparatus fleet.  This is not actual trailer but very similar.   More information after unit goes in service.  As of now we believe the trailer will be assigned to haz mat at station 202 then to station 209.

The Tech Rescue Team will be participating in the 14th Annual Rescue Challenge. This year the Rescue Challenge is being held in Roanoke, Virginia, May 6th through May15th. Council meeting on February 12th to announce new budget.  President Vollmer would like a strong showing from the local members.  More to follow.

Fire Chief announces the creation of new position in his quarterly talk.  A third Assistant Chief position has been created and will be filled soon along with the soon to be vacated Assistant Chief position due to Assistant Chief Whitmore's retirement.

A Senior EMS Supervisor position has been created to handle day to day operations of the EMS division in the interim
