Fire Chief appoints Capt Gibbs as Acting Battalion Chief in charge of safety. This position is an upgrade and Captain Gibbs will fill this position until the next promotional process. Captains Bayliss, Merryman and Ross have been appointed as shift safety officers to begin their duties in September.
